Brian Hamilton learned to fly through a military
flying scholarship in 1979.
Since then he has accumulated several thousand hours experience
on numerous types including the King Air 350 and 200 which he flies
part-time in the air ambulance role. He returned several years ago
from the USA after 2 years instructing and working with an aviation
programme. He is a UK established instructor and examiner, focusing
primarily on JAA and FAA individual instruction, personal pilot
support (safety pilot) and examining.
Brian's qualifications include: UK CAA ATPL, class rating examiner,
PPL flight examiner, QFI, CAA airworthiness test pilot, FAA ATP,
CFI, CFI instrument and multi-engine instructor. He is a particularly
experienced multi-engine pilot and a demonstration test pilot for
Raytheon, principally 58 Baron.
He has flown extensively throughout the US, including the North
Atlantic ferry flight crossing several times, completed again on
his return to UK from USA in his Beech Duchess (click

He is well placed to advise on FAA/CAA alignment and can give most
associated check-rides. Brian fully understands the adjustments
required for the UK pilot, not only to qualify, but to feel comfortable
flying in US airspace
He can equally advise US trained pilots on transition to UK and
European airspace, regulatory authorities and special requirements.
Brian focuses on professional, personal, one-to-one pilot support,
whether it be examining, instructing or acting as a safety pilot
- always underpinned by sound airmanship principles.
